Brit is the President and Chief Executive Officer of AIT. He previously co-founded Corporate Realty & Development, Inc., an asset development group focused on managing a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate and industrial projects. Prior to founding Corporate Realty, Mr. Svoboda was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Chicago division for Sysco, a Fortune 100 company. He spent ten years with Sysco specializing in mergers and acquisitions. Brit has a B.A. from the University of Maine.
Barry L. Raeburn is the Executive Vice President of AIT, responsible for business development, corporate development, government relations, and managing the overall growth of the company. Barry joined AIT from Sandpiper Capital Management, a founding financial investor of AIT. Prior to joining Sandpiper Capital, Barry Raeburn was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of LS2, Inc., a government services contractor to government organizations and multinational corporations. He has led or assisted companies in successful listings on major U.S. Stock Exchanges and assisted in various international M&A transactions. Barry has previously worked as a specialty technology analyst at an investment bank and a multi-billion dollar investment advisory firm covering early stage companies within multiple industries. His previous experience also includes quantitative analysis with forecasting and statistical analysis of major macro economic activity. Mr. Raeburn has a BBA degree in Finance and Risk Management from Temple University.
Dr. Dagher, a co-founder & Board Member of AIT, is a Professor of Civil/Structural Engineering at the University of Maine, Bath Iron Works Professor of Structural Engineering, and founding Director of the AEWC - Advanced Structures & Composites Center. The AEWC Center is a world leader in the development of cost-effective, high performance hybrid composite materials for construction applications. Dr. Dagher is a leading expert in the field of advanced composite materials. Dr. Dagher has a Ph.D. in civil and structural engineering from the University of Wisconsin. He also holds two masters degrees - structural engineering and engineering mechanics.
Since March of 2009 Daniel has served AIT as Lead Structural Engineer, both working hands-on in the bridge design process, and managing many of AIT’s bridge projects. In addition to engineering, Daniel plays an active role in AIT’s composites fabrication and process development. He is a Certified Composites Technician for Vacuum Infusion (ACMA CCT-VIP), and is experienced in the fabrication, testing, and quality assurance of composite materials. Studying under Dr. Habib Dagher and Roberto Lopez-Anido at UMaine’s AEWC Advanced Structures and Composites Center, the focus of his research was on the concrete-filled composite arch bridge technology, specifically development and verification of advanced modeling and design tools for the bridge system. Dan holds M.S degree from the University of Maine.
Jon joined AIT in March 2009 as a structural engineer and manager of the manufacturing division. Jon's experience includes the vetting of the new Certified Composites Technician-Vacuum Infusion Process (CCT-VIP) curriculum published by the American Composites Manufacturer's Association (ACMA) in addition to providing composites quality assurance consulting for the Maine DOT and a composites manufacturer. While at AIT, Jon has continued developing and implementing a production level QA/QC program for the company's composite arch manufacturing system.
